Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Roberto Arévalo García ("the Developer", "we", "us") governing your use of Murder Sudoku ("the Game"). By downloading, installing or using the Game, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Game. The Game is licensed to you, not sold.

2. Eligibility and Minors

The Game is available to players of all ages, including children. If you are a minor under the law of your country, you may use the Game and make purchases only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for purchases made through the account. A parental gate protects access to purchases and external links.

3. Licence to Use the Game

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Game for private, non-commercial entertainment. You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense or lease any part of the Game.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the Game, except where the law expressly permits.
• Circumvent or interfere with security, anti-tampering, currency or purchase-verification features.
• Use cheats, bots, exploits, memory editors or unauthorised software to alter game data, balances, progress or the economy.
• Use the Game unlawfully or in violation of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate access, and/or reset illegitimately obtained progress or items, for breaches.

4. Virtual Items, Currencies and Collectibles

• Virtual items and currencies (Stars, Hints, cards, card packs) are licensed for in-game use only, have no monetary value, and cannot be redeemed for cash or exchanged outside the Game.
• They are non-transferable between accounts or with third parties, except as expressly offered in-game.
• We may manage, modify or remove virtual items and adjust the in-game economy (prices, rewards, availability) at any time.
• You have no ownership right in any virtual item; balances are stored on your device and may be lost if you uninstall, clear data or change devices.

4.1 Randomised items (card packs)

Card packs award randomised cards by rarity through a chance-based mechanic. The drop rates for each rarity are disclosed inside the Game before purchase, in line with Google Play requirements. Outcomes are random; a specific card is not guaranteed.

5. Purchases

All payments are processed by Google Play Billing; we do not receive or store payment details. Prices are shown in your local currency and may vary by region and over time.

• Consumables (Star packs, Hint packs, card packs) are delivered immediately and consumed on use.
• One-time / durable purchases (No-Ads entitlement, Starter Kit) unlock content once; "one time only" offers can be bought only once per account.
• Refunds follow Google Play's policies and your statutory consumer rights. Because digital content is delivered immediately, rights of withdrawal may not apply once delivery has begun, except where your local law provides otherwise. Request refunds through Google Play.

You are responsible for all purchases made through your Google Play account, including those made by minors you supervise.

6. Subscriptions (VIP Pass, ×2 Stars and similar)

Some benefits are offered as auto-renewing subscriptions. Before you confirm, the Game and/or Google Play clearly show the title, benefits, price, billing period and renewal terms, with links to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, via your Google Play account.
• Billing: charged through Google Play at confirmation and at each renewal.
• Cancellation: cancel any time in Google Play → Subscriptions; benefits continue until the end of the paid period, and partial periods are generally not refunded except where required by law.
• Free trials / introductory offers: if offered, the duration and the subsequent price are shown before you subscribe; unused trial time may be forfeited on purchase.
• Price changes: Google Play will notify you and, where required, request your consent before a new price applies.
• Benefits (e.g. no ads, a daily hint allotment, a stars multiplier, a periodic pack) apply only while active. Non-accumulating benefits (like daily free hints) do not roll over, and overlapping benefits are not stacked beyond what each product describes.

7. Free and Promotional Offers

The Game may include free or promotional content (a daily free pack, limited-time offers, starter bundles), provided at our discretion, possibly time-limited or one-time, subject to change, and with no cash value.

8. Advertising

The Game shows advertising, including rewarded ads that grant in-game rewards for watching, in child-directed, non-personalised mode. Tapping an ad may open third-party content after the parental gate; we are not responsible for third-party content.

9. Intellectual Property

The Game and all its content — code, artwork, characters, stories, cases, names, music, sound and design — are owned by the Developer or its licensors and protected by law. Except for the limited licence in Section 3, no rights are granted. You may not use our trademarks or content without prior written permission.

10. Updates and Availability

We may update, modify or discontinue the Game or any feature (levels, events, the store, the economy, offers) at any time. We do not guarantee the Game will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so some may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory statutory consumer rights.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or loss of data, progress or virtual items. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for in-app content in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

13. Termination

You may stop using and uninstall the Game at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breaches or where required by law. On termination the licence ends; provisions that should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability) continue. Virtual items are not refunded on termination except where required by law.

14. Relationship with Google Play

The Game is distributed via Google Play and subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google Play is not a party to these Terms and not responsible for the Game; payments, billing and refunds are handled by Google.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence, which continue to apply where more favourable to you.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes update the "Updated" date and are posted here; significant changes may be announced in-app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
